Does anybody know why Randolph County was not included in the counties listed?! Is Randolph County no longer in the Columbus, GA DMA?! If not, is it in the Albany, GA DMA or the Dothan, AL DMA?! ~Alan

Columbus's DMA goes farther south in GA than was listed in the paper. I don't know why they listed only the upper half of the GA side of our DMA.

On the topic of cost for the locals for DirecTV, I seem to remember that they are included at no cost for certain packages, such as Choice Xtra Plus DVR?

If you have a package with DirecTV... locals are included in the price. However, for those without locals like people in Columbus (or Albany), that price is discounted $3.00... so either way, locals are $3.00. Though I can't keep track of Dish Network's pricing, I know (at least for a while) that they had the same "marketing speak" as well in their packages as well, but the fee for locals ($5.99 if memory serves) was embedded in the price as well. ~Alan

Definitely not really clear..if I look at the packages offered on their website, most say "locals not included", but if I look at my account, it shows locals included with the package that I have - even though I don't get them right now. Like most consumers "another $3 dollars is not too bad" from my point of view...it is just when you look at the sum total of those that you begin to wonder. Oh well, still happy that we are getting locals in the Columbus area!

Mine correctly shows "NO LOCALS" for my area. However, the pricing for the packages are as follows: Choice (No Locals): $55.99 Choice (Locals): $58.99 Choice Xtra (No Locals): $60.99 Choice Xtra (Locals): $63.99 Choice Ultimate (No Locals): $65.99 Choice Ultimate (Locals): $68.99 Premiere (No Locals): $111.99 Premiere (Locals): $114.99 ~Alan

I decided to actually use my Moderator abilities (for once) to create separate "stickied" threads given that we're only a little over a week until Dish offers locals...
