Anyone know if it is possible to pick up programming guide information for the Columbus locals on your Dish network receiver. Someone told me they get the locals listed on the guide, but all they see for content next to the locals is "Digital Service". Is that right? If so, it sounds like Directv would be the better choice. Thanks for any info.

Thanks for any info. Dish Network only provides OTA guide information for channels that they offer. Since Dish Network does not offer local channels in Columbus (SD or HD), the only guide information shown on the Program Guide is "Digital Service". DirecTV, however does provide OTA program listings for all markets regardless of whether or not they serve them (or whether or not you subscribe to them). I know this for a fact because I have Albany, GA (unserved by DirecTV) locals listed in my guide with program information. I have had, at one time, the Columbus, GA locals listed as well. ~Alan

Great. Thanks for the confirmation Alan. I think I know which one I will be going with until when/if one of the two start offering Columbus locals.
