How about that, DirecTV was able to update our receivers on time for 38-2, but not for channel 9. Channel 66 programming is showing on 9-1, but searching for signal on 9-2. I've already reset my off-air channel settings, and rescanned, so I guess we're at the mercy of DirecTV now.
By the way, I've rescanned my DTV converter box and Channel 9 comes in great!

Greetings .... Does anyone know what power level WTVM is transmitting its digital signal with Looks like I'll have to get a good indoor VHF antenna now. Thanx-A-Lot, FrankoVideo-09

DirecTV fixed it, and signal strength is 100%.

Greetings ...
Appreciate the info, Skiel, DJ. I'll just keep re-scanning on my Channel Master Box.

Before the switchover I was getting WTVM at about 95%. Since the switchover I am getting the signal at about 65%. I think they have switched from a UHF signal to a VHS signal. This could be why my signal strength has dropped. I am going to have to play with my antenna a bit to see if I can boost the signal. At 65% anything can disrupt my signal. Thankfully I am not getting any pixelation at all.

I just found this on WTVM's website:
Trouble seeing WTVM after the Big Switch?

June 12th, WTVM News Leader 9 terminated the analog signal per FCC requirements. However, we are in transition to complete our DTV site to ensure improved coverage to our viewers and maximize our coverage area. We hope to have this completed soon.

I live in Harris County right off Lickskillet road and WTVM went from 80% to 27% for me. This is really bad....signal drops out if you walk between the antenna and the direction of the towers. I hope they upgrade the power soon.

Ahh - so that's what the problem is. I live pretty close to their tower and reception is spotty. I also hope they upgraded soon.

I hope they upgrade the power soon. I found out that WTVM is now broadcasting in VHF, so adjusting the rabbit ears on your antenna should help. I got a 50% increase in signal..now at 77%

What everyone needs to remember is that upper-VHF goes for what seems forever if you've got an outdoor antenna with VHF, but not so far if all you have are small rabbit ears indoors or a small outdoor UHF antenna. I've got a small VU-75 www.hdtvprimer.com/ANTENNAS/VU-75XR.html from Radio Shack and am getting 70-80% on Dawson's GPB 25 (actual channel 8), and it stays that way even when the weather's rough. Channel 9 (11) digital is a solid 100%.

Before June 12, WTVM broadcasted it's digital signal on UHF 47 and as of June 12; VHF 11. WLGA prior to June 12 was on UHF 31 and assumed UHF 47 as of June 12 and UHF 31 is no longer assigned to any of the Columbus stations. I live in Beulah and I use a Channel Master (CM5646/3016) antenna and it works great prior to Feb/Jun transition and afterwards. WTVM since the move to VHF 11 has been all over the place in regards to their signal strength and messages here in this forum confirm they're having problems. I'm surprised at the problems their having given WRBL-3, WTVM-9, WLGA-66 are on the Cusseta Tower and with the signal I'm receiving from WRBL is 98 of 100. On a good night I can pull Albany, GA's NBC affiliated on Channel 10. A $28 antenna, no less!
