I have not had an HD signal from WTVM all day long. Anyone else having this problem?

They lost their output tube, whatever that is . They hope to be back up by Monday but it could be later in the week.

I was wondering what was going on. I haven't had a signal for them this entire week. Hopefully they get it fixed quickly.

I spoke to WTVM's Chief Engineer on Friday. He estimates they will be back in service no earlier than Tuesday evening. They are awaiting parts and a factory rep to install the equipment. He also spoke about their overall plans to go to full power later this year. They require upgrades to the new tower so they can move their transmittor to 1000 feet. He said they need additional guy wires to add support for tower stability before they can make the move. At a minimum, he estimates 3 to 4 months for that work.

I cannot get the WTVM signal today. Have they gone off the air again?

I emailed the station and got a response. They are hoping to have the digital tower back up tomorrow (10/24). Seems they had another part go missing or go bad and have to replace it.

This time it was the power supply for the output tube that was replaced last week.

My father-in-law used to have a saying for times like this. "A rough start makes for a smooth finish." Let's hope that WTVM can get thier signal up and keep it up. Maybe some RF Viagra would help.
