Hey everyone. I'm new to this board and to the area. I'm trying to get local HD programming here in Auburn and I'm having a tough time with it. Is anybody else around the Auburn/Opelika area and receiving HD from Columbus? I've been playing with a Winegard SS-2000 and a Channel Master 4228 with the 7777 amp. If I can get a line of site, should either one of these setups receive the signals from Columbus? Thanks for any information!

I think we've got some people in, or near, auburn receiving the columbus stations. I would think you should be able to get something from here at least. Maybe not all the stations though. I would think WTVM now would be the hardest since they are still at such a low height.

I lived in Opelika a year ago and had the 40 dollar channel master antenna from Lowe's. I could pick up all Columbus stations very consistantly. I believe if you purchase a quality antenna you will be able to receive all stations without a problem. HD uses a UHF signal so you can purchase a very high range UHF only antenna and it won't be very large in size. These are readily availible at Radio Shack. They usually have them in stock! Good luck. It is the best picture you have ever seen. Well worth the cost of the antenna.
