Has anybody out there in Taylor County, especially Reynolds, been able to pick up any Columbus HD signals OTA? I can get WMAZ and WPGA in Macon most of the time and since last week or so I can pick up all of the Atlanta stations, sometimes better than Macon. But I have never been able to lock on a digital signal from Columbus. I have a Winegard deep fringe antenna (I forget the model number right now) and a Channel Master amp mounted about 20 feet up. Even though I am closer to Macon, I am still in the Columbus DMA. Any advice or similar experiences?

Hello Sean, I'm in Crawford County, about halfway between Lizella and Roberta. I too can receive the Atlanta channels, but I'm able to get all the Macon channels. You should be able to get Macon's UPN, WGNM (soon to be totally Religious come September), they use a 30k transmitter. I've been getting WLTZ for the last couple of days after dark, I'm thinking they've raised there power. I've also been getting WXTX and WTVM in the wee hours of the morning, before daylight. I've also been getting WCTV from Thomasville after dark on a hit and miss basis. I too have a Winegard deep fringe antenna, a VHF/UHF/FM and I forget the model number, but I think it's their biggest. I use a Channel Master tenna-rotor with the Winegard Model DA-1136 (40-1000 MHz) Distribution Amplifier. They are up about 30' off the ground and I'm on a hill, which I'm sure helps. They all work together great for me. The Columbus true DT #'s are 15, 31, 35, 47, and 49, if that's any help. I have gotten them all at some point or other, I guess atmospheric conditions has helped. The Macon true DT #'s are 4, 16, 32, 40, and 45, if that's any help. Good Luck on your DX'ing.

I have been scanning for digital channels around ten o'clock each night and I have been picking up a lot of new signals. What I do is set my antenna to 0° and run a scan for digital channels. Then I use the rotator to turn it about 20° and do it again. I follow this pattern all the way around to 360°. It takes awhile to do this but the effort has been worth it. Last night I finally picked up some Columbus digital channels - WTVM-DT and WXTX-DT. However, the most interesting thing is now I am getting very strong signals from WYFF-DT (NBC - 4.1) and WHNS FOX - 21.1) out of Grennville, SC. According to mapquest.com, that city is 234 miles from Reynolds. Has anyone else picked up these channles?
