Are they up to full power yet? I can get wrbl, wtvm, wxtx at about 75 to 80% sig strength. WLTZ is around 40% so I get a botched picture quite a bit. I do have to shoot through trees right now and Im in the attic. Roof testing helped a little but not by much at all. Im looking to change this to some degree, but there will always be some trees I have to shoot through. Since the trees arn't in full bloom yet, Im afraid that when they are, I will lose picture altogether.
Im a total neewb here also. Just got directv in feb and the hr10-250 a few weeks ago so I could record local OTA. I may go with a different antenna but not sure. I was going to try a uhf only 2 bay or yagi that had more gain than my current model but that way somewhat small so it would not look so bad. If the trees were not so close to my house, I would go with the CM 4228 in the attic, but the attic level puts me right in line with about 3 sweatgum trees about 20 to 30 feet from the house and Im afraid they will block too much signal.

Not up to full power yet. Not sure exactly when it will be. I'll try to get an update and I'll post.
As for the antenna, I would think for now you'd need to be on the roof and out of the attic. Also the 4228 or even the 4221 might be a good solution for now.

WLTZ just sent me an email that they are running at 2.92kw right now. They are waiting on their new transmitter. They said they should be up to full power before the July 1st deadline. Not sure about the other stations though.

I think the other stations are shooting for sometime around then too.
