Since Groundhog day has now passed I was wondering if anyone has spotted any tower monkeys climbing up with the HD antennas?
With the Winter Olympics starting this weekend I would sure have enjoyed seeing them in HD, but from where I am it ain't gonna happen until they hang the antenna on the skyhook and throw the breaker on the big juice.

I wouldn't expect any of the stations to be going full power this early in the year I would expect it to be closer to late Spring, early Summer.
As for the Olympics, if you have DirecTV, universal HD will be simulcasting some of the coverage. Someone also told me dish would have a special events channel with covearge but I can't find anything to confirm that so I don't know if it's true.

Looks like Dish added Universal HD for the olympics too. I read on avs that it is available for now but will only be for the new MPG4 subscribers after the olympics. They also have an olympics highlight channel but I don't think it's HD

Thanks Mike. I do have the UHD on DirecTV. I hope they manage to get in the events that I am looking for. Alpine downhill, jumping, bobsledding, luge and the figure skating. Thats about all that draws me in.
That thing where they sling the spittoon down the ice and then run along ahead of it sweeping the ice with a broom..... "sup wid dat?" That's about like watching paint dry. Oh well, to each his own. That's what makes horse races I guess...... Rex.....

No specific dates but last I was told the other stations were still on target. Not sure about WLGA, never got anything back from them. I'll try again.

Not sure when it happened but I think WLTZ has increased their power. I'm getting a higher signal reading now. Also talked to someone who didn't get it before and he now gets it down in ellaville.

After I read this, I checked out DT 35 to see what I could get. My signal ranges from 0-35 during the day, but it appears that I can pick it up at night (though not extremely reliable with a signal ranging from 50-60).. ~Alan

Been away for a few days. Got a response from WLTZ. They are now at 50kw. @ 1200 feet. He also said they heard WRBL is going to be a little late with their upgrade.

More than likely due to the planned move to the tower that WLGA is currently broadcasting their signal. I was looking at WRBL-DT's coverage from that on the FCC website, and it looks like WRBL-DT will give me a STRONG signal here in Terrell County. ~Alan
