Thanks for the update. "The CW — which targets women ages 18 to 34...." I doubt anyone here fits into that category -D

Very interesting. The comments on the article touch on it, but there's no mention in the text as to whether it'll be an HD or SD channel. I already get an HD version of the CW from Atlanta, but I'd much rather have a backup. I was anticipating such with WLGA's move, but it seems like that will be irrelevant now.

I am picking up 38-2 on my DIRECTV receiver now... there is a blue screen with a scrolling message at the bottom that says "Beginning April 27 2009, this will be the new home of the CW network stay tuned for all of your favorite shows"
I went through the program guide and it is showing scheduled shows starting at 1PM Monday April 27th.

Day 1 for 38-2, I have a strong signal, but the quality of the picture is about as bad as what I had on cable...and that's not good. Either WLTZ can "fine tune" what they are broadcasting or the source itself is weak which might explain why the cable broadcast was bad as well. Am I the only one seeing this?

No, it's not just you. It's not great. Since I couldn't get WLGA's digital before, this is an improvement. Also having Atlanta's CW in HD takes the edge off.
I'm happy to see the channel and listings do show up in the DirecTV guide. It took WXTX months to update their 54-2 programming.

Program data for The CW Network is now available on 38-2. Sooner than expected...
