Does anyone think that WLTZ-2 The CW GABAMA will ever move to HD? Thanks!

I would hope not. I imagine the quality of 2 HD feeds on one channel would be degraded quite a bit

I disagree I hope they do! Or at least digital widescreen.

Well you got your wish. I was watching WLTZ tonight and noticed the HD quality was terrible. Flipped to 38-2 and it was HD as well.

Well you got your wish. I was watching WLTZ tonight and noticed the HD quality was terrible. Flipped to 38-2 and it was HD as well. Sadly, WTLZ is one of the Columbus channels I can't pick up via antenna... They should have done like my local NBC affiliate did. When they launched an ABC sub-channel, they launched it in SD OTA, but offers an HD feed to satcos and cablecos. My local CBS affiliate plans to offer their CW sub-channel in HD next year. They are owned by Gray Broadcasting who owns another channel in another state that downrezzes CBS and The CW to 720p for the OTA broadcasts, but 1080i for the satcos and cablecos. My hope is my local one offers 1080i feeds to the satcos too. The CW is a channel I'd love to have in HD, but the Tallahassee, FL affiliate WTLF-DT's coverage doesn't reach me (one of the only two Tallahassee, FL stations to not cover me). WLTZ-DT2 offers it in HD, but their signal doesn't reach me. WSWG-DT (my local CBS/MNT/CW affiliate) intends to offer The CW in HD, but again, their signal doesn't reach me. My only hope is that DirecTV picks it up in HD... ~Alan

Got this response from WLTZ:
"We flipped the switch for both to be HD on Monday after the Olympics. We are having issues with a new piece of equipment. It should be resolved soon and the quality cleaned back up."
Hopefully it's that simple. Just flipped over there and golf was on. It was unwatchable. It looked like an internet video from 15 years ago.
